Across Cook Inlet belongs two volcanoes that belong to the famous “Ring of Fire”. The Ring of Fire is a horseshoe-shaped string of volcanos stretching as far as 25,000 miles (40,000 kilometers). Locally, we are lucky enough to be surrounded by several and get a stunning view of the volcanoes silhouetted by the ocean and beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Soaring across Kachemak Bay you will find many local glaciers, Grewingk Glacier is a popular glacier that many guests hike to. Along the way, you may see small villages or towns. Many people reside year-round or seasonally along the ocean nestled in small coves, such as Halibut Cove, Seldovia, Nanwalek, and Port Graham.
Travel to the head of the bay to view the mudflats, home to many birds vacationing in Homer for the summer, black bears, and the winding Fox River that feeds into Kachemak Bay. Oh, did we mention the mountains? We can’t get enough of them and we know you won’t either.
